For club Genoa, the triumph served to open a distance of eight points to the relegation zone. For the attacker, however, the good performance should yield an unprecedented call for the Albiceleste.
With Italian nationality, Mauro Icardi, who was born in Rosario, like Messi, last week unveiled its option: defending the Argentine national team. The attacker, only 19, has a similar story with the number 10 shirt Barcelona, has been outstanding this season, scored nine goals in Serie A and drew the attention of clubs like Inter Milan and Juventus. The option Icardi is being mourned in Italy.
